ATENA is a high technology district in the field of energy and environment. ATENA joints companies, universities and research institutions in the field of sustainable development. ATENA main research and development activities are innovative, efficient, clean and secure technologies for mobile applications; poligeneration systems based on fuel cells and hydrogen technologies; energy storage to optimize the use of renewable energy sources. ATENA is involved in several national and international projects through its own members, acting both as a simple partner and as a coordinator, in Horizon Europe programme and national projects funded by Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and Ministry of environment and energy security (MASE). ATENA has large experience in fuel cell systems for transport, stationary and maritime applications: from systems engineering and design, to validation and integration. It can leverage 1000 sqm of laboratories equipped with several infrastructures dedicated to the research, development and testing of electrolysers, fuel cells, and hydrogen storage. ATENA has an innovative testing facility for FC Hybrid Electric vehicles up to 160 kW, composed by: AVL Puma Data Acquisition System; AVL Load Unit System; AVL Battery Tester Emulator (160kW@1000V) composed by a bi-directional AC/DC power supply for testing Electrical Components, Fuel Cell Units and Battery Powered Devices. www.atenaweb.com
